Journey
Humbly he comes with head bowed low
Seeking another who can take him in tow
Time has no meaning as his journey unfolds
Searching for the truth his inner self holds
Long days are traveled as he casts his mold
Leaving bits and pieces as he walks the road
Wondering if life has meaning, he carries his load
Finding glimpses only of one who can show
He uses them wisely as he softens the blow
Despair and darkness creeps in like the cold
Life has gone by and now he is old
Chipped away bits and pieces reveal his soul
Shinning ever so brightly it appears to be gold
As his last breaths take him, he is gathered into the fold
