Most of the knives I forge are from 1084 carbon steel.    I prefer 1084 because I like the way it forges and the way it holds an edge.   I can also do differential heat treating with 1084. (fancy temper lines).   The down side to 1084 is it will rust if not taken care of properly.   I will use other steels from time to time.   Each piece I create is a one-of-a-kind piece.   I do finishes from 220 grit to full hand rubbed mirror finishes,  the latter costing more as it takes considerably longer to do.   I also do my own heat treating  (both quenching and tempering/drawing).   I do not sell sharpened knives.   They will be shipped with a bevel so they can be sharpened if you so desire.   You  MUST  be age 18 or older to purchase one of my blades.   If you are under age 18,  you will need your guardian or parent to purchase the blade for you.
